Following India’s thrilling Asia Cup victory over arch-rivals Pakistan, mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy celebrated the win in his own unique style: with a ‘coffee cup.’ This lighthearted gesture was a humorous jab after Mohsin Naqvi, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chief, reportedly left with the actual Asia Cup trophy when Indian cricket officials opted not to receive it from him.
The Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian side had secured a decisive five-wicket victory against Pakistan in a nail-biting final held in Dubai.

He then humorously confessed his original elaborate plans for celebrating with the trophy: “So, I had planned everything. I was going to take a photo like I am sleeping with a cup and all those things. But after the match, there was nothing next to me. Just a coffee cup. So, I went ahead with it.” This led to his now-viral “coffee cup” photo, a playful nod to the situation.
