Cricket fans everywhere are buzzing about Vaibhav Suryavanshi, and for good reason! This 14-year-old prodigy has once again captivated audiences, this time with a magnificent century on Australian soil. In the inaugural Youth Test against Australia U-19, Vaibhav blazed his way to a hundred off just 78 balls, ultimately finishing with an explosive 113 runs from a mere 86 deliveries. His spectacular innings included nine boundaries and eight towering sixes, playing a crucial role in a strong 152-run partnership with Vedant Trivedi.

Vaibhav’s remarkable performance didn’t stop there. Earlier in the Youth ODI series, he shattered records by becoming the player with the most career sixes in Youth ODI cricket. He surpassed the previous record of 38 maximums held by Unmukt Chand during India’s second 50-over match against Australia at the Ian Healy Oval in Brisbane.
His ascent began even earlier in domestic cricket. During the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy season, Vaibhav made headlines by debuting at a tender age of just 12 years and 284 days against Mumbai, making him the youngest first-class player in the tournament’s illustrious history. His meteoric rise continued into the Indian Premier League (IPL) when he secured a contract with the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2025 auction, becoming the youngest player ever to do so at just 13 years old.
In the high-stakes environment of the IPL, Vaibhav truly shone, delivering a breathtaking 38-ball 101. This sensational knock included a 35-ball century, ranking as the second-fastest in IPL history—just behind Chris Gayle’s 30-ball record from 2013—and an unprecedented achievement for an Indian player. From domestic pitches to international youth competitions and the glittering stage of the IPL, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is not just playing cricket; he’s rewriting its very record books, proving conclusively that talent and determination know no age limits.
