The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled the highly anticipated squads for the upcoming bilateral series against Australia, scheduled to commence in October and November. This exciting series will kick off with three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), followed by a thrilling five-match T20 International series.
In a major development, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are set to make their return to the ODI squad. Both players had stepped away from T20Is after India’s victorious 2024 T20 World Cup campaign and recently confirmed their retirement from Test cricket. Their reintegration brings invaluable star power and stability, complementing the dynamic leadership of Shubman Gill, who has been named India’s new ODI captain. Shreyas Iyer will serve as his deputy, further solidifying the team’s experienced core.
