The highly anticipated first-ever player auction for ILT20 Season 4 took place on October 1, 2025, delivering an electrifying display of drama and record-breaking deals. Six franchises meticulously assembled their rosters for the thrilling 34-match tournament, set to run from December 2, 2025, to January 4, 2026.
West Indies powerhouse Andre Fletcher became the most coveted player, snapped up by MI Emirates for an impressive USD 260,000, marking his fourth consecutive season with the team. England’s Scott Currie followed closely, joining Dubai Capitals for USD 250,000. Among pacers, England’s Liam Dawson led the pack, secured by Gulf Giants for USD 170,000. The demand for local talent was evident, with UAE pacers Junaid Siddique fetching USD 170,000 for Sharjah Warriorz and Muhammad Rohid going to MI Emirates for USD 140,000 (via Right to Match card).
Each franchise was required to build a squad of 19 to 21 players, featuring a diverse mix of talent from Full Member nations, the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and other ICC Associate Nations, alongside two special ‘Wildcard’ picks outside the auction. Notably, several promising players from the ILT20 Development Tournament also earned their spots, including UAE pacer Haider Razzaq (Gulf Giants, USD 50,000) and the tournament’s standout performer, Sanjay Pahal (Desert Vipers, USD 10,000).
