India’s premier fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, was recently captured in a viral video expressing his frustration with media members gathered outside Mumbai airport. Upon exiting the airport, Bumrah was immediately met with a barrage of cameras, an encounter that clearly agitated the cricketer.
A visibly annoyed Bumrah was heard shouting, “Maine bulaya hi nahi” (I have not asked you guys to come), followed by, “Tum kisi aur ke liye aaye ho, aa rahe honge wo” (You guys have come for someone else, they must be coming).
Despite his visible irritation, media persons persisted, requesting photos and even humorously remarking, “Bumrah bhai, aap bonus mein mile ho humein Diwali ke” (Bumrah brother, you are our Diwali bonus). This only escalated his frustration, prompting him to respond with exasperation, “Arey bhai, meri gaadi ke paas jaane do mujhe” (Please let me go to my car).
Amidst this incident, it has been confirmed that Jasprit Bumrah will be rested for the upcoming three-match One Day International (ODI) series against Australia. The ODI series is scheduled to begin this Sunday, with subsequent matches on October 23 and 25. Following the ODIs, a five-match T20 International (T20I) series will take place from October 29 to November 8, for which Bumrah is included in the squad. The three ODIs will be hosted in Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney.
The upcoming ODI series has also garnered considerable attention due to ongoing discussions about the future of cricket stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, both of whom have retired from Test and T20I formats.
