The 2025 Asia Cup is entering its decisive phase, with the Super Four stage set to begin this weekend in Dubai. While one group match — between defending champions India and Oman — remains on Friday at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, the line-up for the second round of the tournament has already been confirmed.
After 11 intense group games, four teams have sealed their berths in the Super Four: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. The battle resumes from Saturday as these sides fight for a place in the grand finale.
India, captained by Suryakumar Yadav, were the first to progress from Group A. Pakistan sealed the second slot from the group with a crucial 41-run win over UAE.
From Group B, Sri Lanka topped the standings with three wins out of three, while Bangladesh grabbed the final berth after Afghanistan faltered against Sri Lanka on Thursday.
The Super Four will follow a round-robin format, where each of the four qualified teams faces the other three. The top two sides in the standings will then advance to the final. The points system remains unchanged: two points for a win, one for a no result, and net run rate will separate teams tied on points.
The biggest clash in the Super Four is undoubtedly the India vs Pakistan encounter in Dubai. The much-anticipated match will be played on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Dubai International Stadium, starting at 8:00 PM IST.
