Following India’s nail-biting Super Over triumph against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 clash held in Dubai, Indian cricketers Rinku Singh, Arshdeep Singh, and Jitesh Sharma were caught sharing a memorable, lighthearted moment. The highlight? Rinku Singh playfully reenacted his famous viral social media reel, humorously poking fun at Arshdeep Singh for his exceptional, match-winning bowling performance.
This humorous exchange was a clear nod to an earlier viral video of Rinku with fellow cricketer Kuldeep Yadav, where Rinku had comically inquired about the cost of a Rs 10 biscuit packet. The camaraderie on display captivated fans.
In the recently shared video by Arshdeep himself, Rinku can be seen teasing, “Super over mein Arshdeep ne 2 wicket liye, kisne liye ji?” (Arshdeep took two wickets in the Super Over, who took them?).
Arshdeep’s witty comeback, “Paagal vaagal ho gaya hai kya?” (Have you gone crazy?), was met with Rinku’s playful insistence, “Puchna toh padega na” (But I have to ask!).
While Arshdeep Singh, who stepped in for Jasprit Bumrah for the match, initially faced a challenging start—conceding 26 runs in his first two overs without securing a wicket—he staged a remarkable recovery. He bounced back decisively, taking the wicket of Kamindu Mendis in his third over and delivering a tight final over, giving away only 11 runs.
The true test came in the Super Over when captain Suryakumar Yadav entrusted him with the ball. The left-arm pacer rose to the occasion, performing brilliantly under immense pressure to dismiss both Perera and Dasun Shanaka, ultimately securing a comfortable victory for India.
Looking ahead, India is set to face arch-rivals Pakistan in the highly anticipated Asia Cup final this Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium. Having already clinched two victories against Pakistan in the tournament and with their players currently in peak form, India enters the championship match as the clear favorites.
