A heart-wrenching incident occurred in Bibinagar on Sunday, November 2nd, when a road accident resulted in the immediate death of a young couple and left three others with injuries.
The victims, identified as 33-year-old Prashanth and his 32-year-old wife Prasuna, were residents of Bhongir and had been married for three years. The injured individuals include Shamukha (20), who was behind the wheel of the car, and his friends Bhargava and Sairitu, both 18. All three sustained various injuries and are currently receiving medical attention at a government hospital in Bhongir.
Bibinagar Inspector M. Prabhakar Reddy provided details of the harrowing crash, stating that it happened around 8:45 a.m. A speeding car, carrying three occupants, lost control, veered off the road, and tragically collided with a two-wheeler parked on the roadside. Prashanth died instantly at the scene. His wife, Prasuna, was tragically thrown into a nearby pond due to the impact and subsequently drowned.
Authorities confirmed that the couple had stopped their two-wheeler by the roadside to take a phone call while en route to Warangal. The car involved in the accident was on its way to Yadagirigutta Temple and was being driven with alarming recklessness when the driver lost control, leading to the fatal collision.
Rescue teams later retrieved Prasuna’s body from the pond. Medical staff at the hospital pronounced her dead upon arrival.
A formal case has been registered, and a thorough investigation into the incident is currently underway.
