RJD Unveils Bihar Election Candidates: Tejashwi Yadav Among 143 Nominees

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has officially released its candidate list for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. A total of 143 candidates have been nominated by the party, including prominent leader Tejashwi Yadav, who will be contesting from the Raghopur constituency. This significant announcement was made on the last day for submitting nomination papers for the second and final phase of the elections.

In a move to bolster women’s representation, the RJD has also fielded 24 women candidates for this electoral battle. This candidate announcement further solidifies the seat-sharing agreement within the Mahagathbandhan alliance, where the RJD will contest 143 seats, the Congress will participate in 61 constituencies, and CPI ML will vie for 20 seats.

In related news, the Congress party has also released its candidate list, adding six more names to their nominations, bringing their total to 60 candidates. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has finalized its candidates for all 101 seats allocated to them as part of the NDA’s seat-sharing agreement. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to commence his election campaign on October 24.

The voting process for these elections is set to begin on November 6 and conclude on November 11, with the results expected to be declared on November 14.
