YADGIR – A significant stride in judicial infrastructure was made in Yadgir on Friday with the grand inauguration of a brand-new district court complex. The prestigious event was graced by Karnataka High Court Chief Justice Vibhu Bakhru, who officially opened the modern facility.
In his key address, Chief Justice Bakhru underscored the importance of the complex’s state-of-the-art amenities. He urged legal professionals and citizens alike to fully utilize these resources, emphasizing their role in fostering efficient justice delivery and streamlining judicial processes.
Justice K.S. Hemalekha, a High Court Judge and the Administrative Judge for Yadgir district, hailed the completion of the new court building as a landmark achievement for the judiciary, describing it as a brilliant testament to progress.
The expansive complex, which includes a dedicated building for the bar association, spans an impressive 10 acres and was constructed at a substantial cost of ₹32 crore. The Public Works Department meticulously oversaw this ambitious project.
Designed to meet contemporary legal needs, the court complex features eight well-appointed court halls. These include dedicated spaces for the Principal District and Session Judges, along with additional provisions for other judges. Beyond the courtrooms, the complex also boasts essential facilities such as a modern bar association building, ample vehicle parking, a convenient canteen, and separate, well-maintained restrooms for men and women.
The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of several distinguished personalities, including High Court Justices H.P. Sandesh and Ashok Kinagi. Also attending were Justice P.S. Dinesh Kumar, former Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court and current Presiding Officer of the Securities Appellate Tribunal; K.S. Bharat Kumar, Registrar General of the Karnataka High Court; Principal District and Sessions Judge Marulasiddaradhya; Deputy Commissioner Harshal Bhoyar; Superintendent of Police Pruthvik Shankar; CEO Lavish Ordia; and Bar Association President R.S. Patil, among other notable guests.
