Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) Vice-Chancellor Allam Srinivasa Rao recently highlighted the urgent need for both rigorous scientific inquiry and robust international partnerships to tackle the escalating crisis of environmental pollution. He stressed that this global issue is profoundly impacting human health and demands immediate, concerted action.
These remarks were made during his address at the International Conference on Environmental Pollution, Nutrition and Public Health (ICENPH-2025). The event, held at the VSU campus in Kakatur, SPSR Nellore district, on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, served as a crucial platform for discussion.
Co-organized by VSU’s Department of Marine Biology and Department of Microbiology, alongside Yogi Vemana University and Aieonki Publishco Private Limited, Hyderabad, the conference brought together a diverse group of students, researchers, and scientists. The Vice-Chancellor expressed optimism that such collaborative gatherings would inspire groundbreaking innovations in environmental solutions.
VSU Registrar K. Suneetha further elaborated on the twin threats of malnutrition and environmental pollution, both exacerbating public health concerns. She called for united efforts from government bodies, academic institutions, and private organizations to effectively confront these critical challenges. The conference concluded with a unanimous resolution from delegates to intensify efforts in reducing environmental pollution, advancing nutritional well-being, and vigorously protecting public health.
