Vizianagaram Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy announced on Thursday, October 23, 2025, that the ‘Super GST-Super Savings’ awareness campaign has garnered widespread attention. This success is attributed to the collaborative efforts of the district administration, the GST Department, and various Chambers of Commerce.
During a media address, Reddy highlighted how the Union and State Governments’ decision to reduce tax slabs has directly benefited citizens. This move has led to a notable decrease in prices for essential goods, consumer products, two-wheelers, cars, and other items, making them more affordable.
He further noted that a successful two-week exhibition held at Maharaja Music College showcased a variety of products, from ready-made garments and solar solutions to automobiles and electronics, all available at reduced prices. This surge in economic activity is anticipated to last through the Sankranti festival season, benefiting Vizianagaram, a major trade hub in the North Andhra region.
Kapuganti Srinivas, President of the Vizianagaram Chamber of Commerce, expressed gratitude to the district administration for its unwavering support in organizing these crucial exhibitions. He remains optimistic that local markets will continue to thrive as consumers increasingly recognize the affordability of various products. In an effort to ensure broader reach, GST officials plan to extend these awareness initiatives to remote villages, ensuring that rural communities also benefit from the tax relaxations.
