The Vizianagaram district administration is in a flurry of activity, meticulously preparing for the grand annual Sirimanotsav festival, scheduled for October 7, 2025. This cherished event, dedicated to the revered presiding deity Pydimamba, is anticipated to draw an impressive crowd of approximately 300,000 devotees.
To ensure a seamless and spiritually enriching experience for all attendees, Vizianagaram Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy and his team of senior officials are conducting daily reviews of the arrangements. Their focus is on facilitating a hassle-free darshan (sacred viewing) and ensuring devotees can fully immerse themselves in the array of spiritual and cultural activities planned. Notably, the Tholellu festival will precede Sirimanotsav, taking place on October 6.
Under the Collector’s guidance, the Vizianagaram Municipal Corporation has embarked on extensive beautification initiatives, aiming to elevate the charm and appeal of the ‘Fort City.’ The Corporation has generously earmarked nearly ₹50 lakh for various beautification and urban development projects. VMC Commissioner P. Nallanayya confirmed that all civic departments are working in close coordination to not only meet but exceed the government’s expectations. Adding to the festive atmosphere, a spectacular craft exhibition, ‘SARAS,’ is being planned near the bustling Balaji junction.
Looking ahead, Minister for MSME Kondapalli Srinivas is slated to convene multiple review meetings concerning the annual festival, once the current Assembly session concludes. This demonstrates the high-level attention and commitment to making Sirimanotsav 2025 a resounding success.
