During a recent event, Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Mohit Sonakiya strongly asserted that cybersecurity and digital awareness are not merely optional extras, but rather a fundamental responsibility shared by every individual.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the National Cybersecurity Awareness Month-2025, an initiative under the theme ‘Cyber Jagrit Bharat’, Mr. Sonakiya highlighted how the diligent adoption of secure digital practices by railway officers and staff is crucial for bolstering the Indian Railways’ online infrastructure.
Mr. Sonakiya emphasized that the month-long campaign was specifically designed to cultivate a stronger understanding of safe digital habits among railway personnel. He also took the opportunity to commend the Signal and Telecom (S&T) Department for their outstanding efforts in organizing a variety of insightful awareness programs and engaging competitions focused on cybersecurity.
