India’s Vice-President, C.P. Radhakrishnan, recently highlighted how Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative has been instrumental in propelling the nation towards self-reliance across critical sectors. Addressing an event for the release of two volumes of PM Modi’s speeches spanning June 2022 to May 2024, the Vice-President pointed to significant advancements in defense, space, electronics, and various other pivotal areas of national development.
Radhakrishnan further expounded on the essence of a truly strong nation, stating that its foundation rests not solely on power, but equally on the character of its people and their collective unity. He identified several key drivers for positive change for India’s 1.4 billion citizens, including accessible and quality education in their native languages, universal access to clean drinking water and sanitation, robust healthcare systems, ongoing efforts in poverty eradication, and a commitment to clean energy and climate action.
The newly released compilation of speeches was brought together by the Publications Division of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The release event saw the presence of Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw, along with Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairperson Harivansh Narayan Singh, and other distinguished officials.
