Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan at the temple of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala on Thursday.
Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan, accompanied by his wife R. Sumati, recently undertook a significant spiritual journey to the sacred Tirumala temple, marking his inaugural visit to the revered shrine since assuming his high office. They were joined by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Although the Vice-President briefly visited the temple on Wednesday evening, traditional protocols prevented a ceremonial welcome after sunset. However, on Thursday, his visit was met with a grand traditional reception orchestrated by TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal, and a dedicated team of priests. They respectfully guided him and his wife to the sanctum sanctorum, where he humbly offered his prayers to the revered presiding deity, Lord Venkateswara.

Following his worship, the Vice-President and the Chief Minister collaboratively inaugurated the newly constructed Pilgrim Amenities Complex–V. This cutting-edge facility is designed to comfortably accommodate over 7,000 devotees at any given time, offering modern amenities including advanced locker services to enhance their pilgrimage experience.
Adding to the improvements, Mr. Radhakrishnan also officially launched a vision-based machine specifically designed for sorting prasadam ingredients. This innovative technology aims to significantly uplift the quality and hygiene standards of the sacred temple offerings.
During their visit to the amenities complex, observers noted a brief but interesting exchange between the Vice-President and IT Minister Nara Lokesh.
Also in attendance were Ministers Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and Anagani Satya Prasad, alongside several esteemed members of the TTD Trust Board.
In a separate development, BJP State spokesperson G. Bhanuprakash Reddy announced that he had presented a detailed note, accompanied by supporting evidence, to the Chief Minister regarding an alleged ‘Parakamani scam’.
