In a disturbing turn of events in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, a man is accused of throwing his wife off their terrace following her refusal to engage in sexual activity. The brutal act resulted in a significant fall, causing the victim to sustain a severe spinal fracture. She is presently undergoing treatment at the Jhansi Medical College.
The victim recounted the harrowing experience, stating, “I was forced by my husband, and later he pushed me off the roof. I want to live and fight back for what he did to me.”
The couple, identified as Teeja and Mukesh from Siyavari village, had a love marriage in 2022. While the initial year of their marriage was reportedly peaceful, the situation deteriorated dramatically afterwards. Mukesh began staying away from home frequently and reportedly resorted to physical abuse upon his return.
The violence escalated three days prior to the incident, when Mukesh allegedly assaulted Teeja and forced her into unwanted sexual activity. When she refused his advances on Tuesday night, an enraged Mukesh reportedly dragged her to the terrace and pushed her off. Her screams of pain and distress alerted nearby villagers, while Mukesh allegedly fled the scene.
Authorities from the Kotwali Mau Ranipur police station were promptly alerted and arrived at the location. The victim was initially taken to a community health center, but due to the severity of her injuries, she was transferred to Jhansi Medical College for advanced care.
