The Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry Federation (A.P. Chambers) has issued a pressing call to the Chief Minister: release the long-awaited incentives for the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and food processing sectors without delay. These industries are not just important; they are the very foundation of the State’s economic health.
P. Bhaskar Rao, president of AP Chambers, emphasized in a recent press statement that MSMEs are currently battling a perfect storm of rising production costs, intense market competition, and critically, the hold-up in receiving promised incentives. These hurdles are severely impacting their ability to secure necessary working capital, safeguard employment opportunities, and maintain stable operations.
He further underscored the urgency, stating that disbursing these incentives by October is absolutely critical. It’s not just about keeping these businesses afloat; it’s also about bolstering investor confidence. This is especially important with the ‘CII Partnership Summit 2025’ on the horizon, set to take place in Visakhapatnam on November 14-15.
Mr. Rao reiterated that providing these incentives promptly is indispensable for ensuring these sectors can continue their operations, protect existing jobs, and foster vital growth. He conveyed his optimism that the government will rise to the occasion, establishing new standards for industrial development and championing the welfare of farmers across the state.
