The Apollo University (TAU) recently welcomed a captivating rare stamp exhibition, ‘Apolopex–2025,’ at its Knowledge Centre Auditorium in Chittoor. Organized by the university’s Philately Club, in collaboration with the Indian Postal Department and the Manipal Philatelic and Numismatic Club, the event took place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, offering a unique glimpse into the world of philately.
This spectacular showcase attracted an impressive audience, drawing over two thousand visitors. Students, educators, passionate philatelists, and dedicated researchers from across Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka flocked to witness the extraordinary collection on display.
Attendees were treated to a diverse array of thematic collections, spanning fascinating topics such as wildlife, climate change, significant national and international observances, intricate depictions of temples, advancements in medicine, and the wonders of space exploration. Organizers proudly noted that many of these cherished collections had already earned accolades at prestigious National philately exhibitions.
Dr. Vinodh Bhat, Vice-Chancellor of Apollo University, emphasized the profound significance of the exhibition. He remarked that each stamp on display told a rich cultural and historical story. Dr. Bhat highlighted the event’s dual impact, stating, ‘The experience is both educational and inspiring. This exhibition marks a significant cultural milestone, effectively introducing Chittoor to the rich and enduring legacy of postal history.’
