The Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge and Technologies (RGUKT) in Etcherla, Srikakulam, is set to host the prestigious IBM Qiskit Fall Tech Fest from October 21 to 27, 2025. This week-long event is designed to introduce participants to the revolutionary world of quantum computing, one of the planet’s most rapidly advancing technologies.
RGUKT Director KVGD Balaji announced that IBM meticulously selected only 55 institutions globally to host this event. This decision was based on a thorough evaluation of each institution’s infrastructure and, crucially, the students’ profound academic interest in quantum technologies.
RGUKT’s inclusion among these elite hosts is a testament to the exceptional talent of its students. A standout presentation by Katam Nikhil Teja, Ch. Praveen Kumar, Ch. John Babu, K. Gunasri, and D. Kasim Vali on the potential of quantum technologies ultimately secured their university this coveted opportunity.
The tech fest promises an immersive experience for young enthusiasts, featuring a series of workshops and training sessions. Attendees will gain invaluable hands-on experience with cutting-edge emerging technologies, preparing them for the future.
Srikakulam Collector Swapnil Dinakar Pundkar extended his hearty congratulations to the students, emphasizing that the tech fest offers an unparalleled platform for direct engagement with leading academicians and IT luminaries, such as IBM Quantum adviser L. Venkata Subramanyam.
The smooth execution of the event is being meticulously coordinated by Administrative Officer Muni Ramakrishna, Dean Shiva Ramakrishna, Finance Officer Vasu, and their dedicated team.
