During the recent curtain-raiser event for Ayurveda Day 2025, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, shared a powerful message: Ayurveda is far more than just a medical practice; it’s a comprehensive, evidence-based, and ecologically mindful healthcare philosophy. “Ayurveda truly represents a way of life, fostering harmony between individuals and their surrounding environment,” the Minister eloquently stated.
With the inspiring theme ‘Ayurveda for People & Planet’ guiding this year’s celebrations, Minister Jadhav proudly unveiled a range of exciting, public-centric initiatives spearheaded by the Ministry of Ayush for the 10th annual Ayurveda Day. These programs are designed to uplift community well-being and include engaging awareness campaigns such as “Little Steps to Wellness” for students, a crucial “Lead the Mislead” effort to combat misleading advertisements, and a specialized “Ayurveda Aahara for Obesity” initiative focusing on dietary solutions.
The Minister further elaborated on upcoming plans, which include innovative programs integrating Ayurvedic principles into plant and veterinary health, a dedicated focus on incorporating Ayurveda into cancer care strategies, and a significant push towards the digital transformation of Ayurvedic practices to make them more accessible and impactful.
