The incident occurred around 11:30 AM in the bustling Narsoo market, located along the vital Jammu-Srinagar national highway within the Somroli area. Initial reports from officials confirm that a recently inaugurated hotel building and at least two adjacent shops bore the brunt of the slide.
Crucially, authorities confirmed that no casualties were reported from the disaster. All buildings within the affected market zone had been successfully evacuated just prior to the landslip, preventing what could have been a tragic loss of life.
