The renowned Srivari Seva, a voluntary service scheme operated by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), is on the cusp of a significant transformation.
In a recent review meeting held in Tirupati, Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal urged officials to bolster this invaluable service, envisioning its expansion beyond traditional temple duties into the crucial medical sector and across TTD-managed temples nationwide.
To prepare for this ambitious expansion, Mr. Singhal emphasized the immediate need for advanced training programs for Srivari Sevaks and their supervisors. These comprehensive sessions are slated for December this year and January 2026.
Developed in partnership with IIM-Ahmedabad and the State Planning Department, the training curriculum will include vital modules on leadership, effective management, the principles of Sanatana Dharma, and a strong focus on service excellence.
A key directive from the Executive Officer was the swift implementation of ‘Srivari Medical Seva.’ This innovative initiative aims to provide enhanced medical care to patients at major TTD hospitals, including Aswini, SVIMS, BIRRD, Ayurveda Hospital, and Padmavathi Children’s Hospital. To ensure seamless operation, a dedicated Medical Seva Cell will be established for improved coordination.
Furthermore, plans are actively being developed to introduce Srivari Seva at TTD temples located in prominent cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Kanyakumari, and Bengaluru. This regional rollout is a precursor to a broader national expansion, which will also see volunteers contributing to the SV Gosala and other vital cow protection efforts.
The important meeting saw the participation of Additional Executive Officer C.H. Venkayya Chowdary, JEO Veerabrahmam, senior medical officials from various TTD hospitals, IT GM Phani Kumar Naidu, and representatives from IIM-Ahmedabad and the State Planning Department.
