A profound tragedy struck Halyal village near Athani in Karnataka’s Belagavi district on September 15, when 23-year-old Mallappa Sanju Shivapur was electrocuted. The young farmer was reportedly engaged in fixing an irrigation pump set on his farm when he was unexpectedly hit by a severe electric shock, causing him to collapse instantly. His family members and relatives swiftly transported him to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. However, upon arrival, doctors regretfully pronounced him dead.
