KARIMNAGAR: A distressing incident has unfolded in Karimnagar, where E. Srinivas, a second-year post-graduate medical student specializing in anaesthesia at Prathima Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagunur, was found dead at his home late Monday night. Authorities suspect the cause to be suicide, attributing it to profound financial distress.
Investigations suggest that Srinivas allegedly administered a fatal intravenous injection. Sources close to the matter indicate that he had reportedly taken out substantial bank loans on behalf of several friends. When these friends failed to honor their commitments and repay the borrowed amounts, Srinivas found himself trapped in a crippling debt spiral.
Overwhelmed by the mounting financial burden, he is believed to have taken this extreme step. It is also noted that Srinivas had joined the PG medical program through the in-service quota designated for government doctors.
A formal case has been registered, and a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death is currently underway.
