A profound sense of sorrow has enveloped Gachibowli after a four-year-old boy tragically lost his life on Friday afternoon. The young child accidentally fell into an open water sump situated alarmingly close to his school.
The devastating incident unfolded in Nanakramguda, where the boy was enrolled as a pre-primary student. This heart-wrenching case came to public attention after his father, Boini Parameshwar, a delivery agent residing in TNGOs Colony, Gachibowli, filed a formal complaint with the police.
According to Mr. Parameshwar’s statement, both his sons, aged six and four, attended school that morning as they always did. However, the day took a horrific turn around 3:30 p.m. when he received a frantic call from Naresh, the auto driver responsible for transporting the children. Naresh informed him that his younger son could not be found anywhere near the school premises.
A wave of panic washed over the distraught father as he immediately raced to the school. He scoured the area, desperately searching for his child, but the boy remained missing. Upon questioning the school staff, they vaguely suggested that the children might have been playing behind the building. Undeterred, Parameshwar continued his frantic search, his eyes falling upon a water sump located in front of the school. Though it appeared closed, a closer, more dreadful inspection revealed his worst fears: his son was found floating lifelessly within the water.
The child’s body was recovered from the sump and subsequently transferred for a postmortem examination. The Gachibowli police have registered a case, and a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic drowning is actively in progress.
