Raipur: A heartbreaking incident has occurred in Chhattisgarh’s Korba district, where a 20-year-old man reportedly died after consuming poison, allegedly under pressure from his girlfriend’s family to prove his love. The young man, identified as Krishna Kumar Pando from Deopahri village, was in a relationship with a girl from Sonari village.
According to reports from the deceased’s family, Krishna was called to the girl’s house on September 25. There, her family allegedly demanded that he consume poison if he truly loved their daughter. Tragically, Krishna is said to have complied with this demand. He later informed his family about the incident.
Krishna was initially rushed to the primary health centre in Lemru and subsequently referred to the district hospital for further treatment. Despite medical efforts, he passed away on October 8. Following a complaint lodged by Krishna’s family, the police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter.
