Tragedy struck near Bisale village in Karnataka’s Sakleshpur taluk on October 30, when a passenger bus veered off the road, leading to one fatality and leaving eight others injured. The bus was transporting individuals on their way to a wedding celebration in Kukke Subrahmanya.
The harrowing incident occurred as the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle while navigating a curve. In total, nine people sustained injuries, all of whom were promptly transported to the government hospital in Puttur, Dakshina Kannada district, for medical attention.
Among those injured, 45-year-old Shivaraj from Vanaguru village in Sakleshpur tragically succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Authorities from the Yeslur police station have initiated a case following a complaint lodged by Subramanya, also from Vanaguru. The complaint specifically points to the driver’s negligence as the primary cause of this devastating accident, and the investigation is ongoing.
