A heartbreaking incident occurred on Friday in Manjari, near Chikkodi in Belagavi district, when a 25-year-old woman tragically lost her life in a road accident.
The victim, identified as Sangeeta Kashappa Samane, was riding as a pillion passenger on her husband Kashappa’s motorcycle. The unfortunate event unfolded when Kashappa momentarily lost control of his bike, causing Sangeeta to fall onto the road.
Before she could recover and get back to safety, she was tragically struck and crushed by a passing car on the busy Manjari-Chikkodi Road, leading to her immediate death at the scene.
Authorities have since apprehended the car driver involved in this fatal collision. A case has been officially registered at the Ankali Police Station, and investigations are currently underway.
