A horrific road accident unfolded in the early hours of Sunday at Greenlands, Panjagutta, Hyderabad, resulting in the tragic deaths of two individuals. The incident involved a powerful sand-laden lorry and a motorbike.
According to reports from the Panjagutta police, the fatal collision occurred around 5:30 a.m. A large 16-wheel lorry (bearing registration number TS 09 UD 9279), heading towards Begumpet, collided with a motorbike (registered as TG 04 C 7248) from the rear. The impact was immediate and severe: the motorbike’s rider, 30-year-old Mudhangal Naveen, a bike taxi driver from JNTU, lost his life at the scene. His pillion rider, 35-year-old Kasturi Jagadish Chandra, a dedicated general physician employed at KIMS-Sunshine Hospital and a resident of Methodist Colony, Kundanbagh, tragically succumbed to his extensive injuries while receiving medical care at a private hospital in Somajiguda.
In response to the devastating incident, authorities have apprehended the lorry driver, Pasupula Shankar, 38, originally from Peddakottapally in Nagarkurnool district. A formal case has been registered, and a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event is actively underway to determine the exact cause and ensure justice is served.
