Bharatpur: A somber incident unfolded in Alwar, Rajasthan, where a family’s motorcycle was tragically hit by a Thar jeep, leading to the deaths of four individuals and injuring a child. The police reported the accident on Sunday, stating it occurred near Chhadhi Meel Colony on Saturday night.

The family, consisting of a 25-year-old man, his wife, their young son, and two nieces, was returning home after attending a wedding in Alwar city when the speeding Thar jeep collided with their motorcycle from behind. The jeep’s driver reportedly fled the scene immediately after the impact.
Upon receiving information, police rushed to the location and transported the injured to Rajiv Gandhi District Hospital. Sadly, four of the victims were pronounced dead upon arrival. The injured child is currently receiving medical attention in Jaipur.
The deceased have been identified as Mahendra Kumar, his wife Guddi Devi (32), their son Purvansh Kumar (2), and one of their nieces, aged 8. All were residents of Nagal Kheda village.
According to Assistant Sub-Inspector Bansi Lal from Alwar’s Sadar police station, the SUV driver abandoned the jeep at the scene and fled. The vehicle has since been seized by the authorities.
Police have stated that the post-mortem examinations will be conducted on Sunday, after which the bodies will be released to the family. Legal proceedings will commence once a formal complaint is filed by the bereaved family. Efforts are underway to identify the absconding driver, with CCTV footage from the area being reviewed.
