In a tragic incident in Rajasthan’s Barmer district, two cousins were killed and a third was injured when a fire erupted in their home in Bhadkha village on Sunday morning. The victims, Arun (19) and Raju Ram (12), were asleep in the same room when the fire started around 5 am.
According to police reports, Devi Lal and his son, Jasara Ram (21), were visiting Shankar Ram’s house, located nearby. Jasara was sleeping with his cousins, Arun and Raju. While Arun and Raju tragically lost their lives in the blaze, Jasara managed to escape with burn injuries. He was initially treated at Barmer Hospital and later referred to a Jodhpur hospital for further care.
Preliminary investigations suggest that a short circuit may have been the cause of the fire. Authorities have summoned an FSL team to gather evidence and ascertain the exact cause of the incident.
