A heartbreaking discovery was made on Sunday morning in Kalaburagi when authorities recovered the body of an 18-year-old from a storm-water drain in M.B. Nagar. The young man had tragically been swept away by the intense currents during Saturday night’s torrential downpour.
The deceased has been identified as Muzamil Siddique Ahmed, a resident of Naya Mohalla in Jawahar Hind Colony. He was reported missing by his family after an unsuccessful search across various locations throughout Saturday night. A missing person’s complaint had subsequently been lodged at the M.B. Nagar Police Station.
Preliminary reports suggest that Muzamil likely fell into the treacherous open drain sometime during the severe rainfall that battered the city on Saturday.
