The entertainment world is mourning the profound loss of Punjabi actor and singer Rajvir Jawanda, who tragically passed away in Chandigarh on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. His untimely death comes 11 days after a severe road accident left him with critical injuries.
Hospital authorities confirmed that the 35-year-old artist was declared dead at 10:55 a.m. Jawanda, an increasingly prominent figure in the Punjabi showbiz scene, had been fighting for his life on mechanical life support since being admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali in an extremely critical condition.
The unfortunate incident occurred on September 27 when Jawanda was en route to Shimla on his motorcycle in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district. The accident resulted in serious head and spine injuries. Prior to his transfer to Fortis Hospital, he also suffered a cardiac arrest, further complicating his critical condition.
Originally hailing from Pona village in Ludhiana’s Jagraon, Rajvir Jawanda first captured hearts and gained widespread recognition with his hit song, “Kali Jawande Di.”
His impressive musical catalog also includes popular tracks such as “Tu dis penda,” “Khush reha kar,” “Sardari,” “Surname,” “Afreen,” “Landlord,” and “Down to Earth,” among others. Beyond his musical achievements, Jawanda showcased his acting talent in several Punjabi films. He notably appeared alongside Gippy Grewal in “Subedar Joginder Singh” (2018), and also featured in “Jind Jaan” (2019) and “Mindo Taseeldarni” (2019), leaving a versatile legacy in both music and cinema.
