Anti-militancy operations against two elusive terrorist groups in Jammu’s Chenab Valley were still underway on Monday, September 22, 2025.
A representative for the White Knight Corps, which is spearheading these crucial operations, confirmed that the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the White Knight Corps, along with the GOC of Counter Insurgency Force, Delta, had traveled to Seoj Gali in Doda district. Their mission was to thoroughly assess the current security landscape and ensure the combat readiness of the stationed troops.
This high-level review follows the sighting of a terrorist group in Seoj Gali on Friday, September 19, 2025.
The General Officers Commanding emphasized the importance of all personnel demonstrating exceptional professional excellence in their ongoing counter-insurgency efforts.
Since Friday evening, the Indian Army has been engaged in two distinct anti-militancy operations across the Chenab Valley, specifically targeting the Kishtwar and Doda-Udhampur regions. Security forces have been locked in intense firefights with two separate groups of terrorists, who are currently being tracked through the dense jungle terrain.
Tragically, one soldier lost their life during these engagements. Despite the setback, officials noted that the terrorists skillfully utilized the dense green cover to evade capture, relocating and establishing new hideouts in the higher, more challenging parts of the region.
