The revered annual Tirumala Brahmotsavams are fast approaching, set to commence on September 24th and conclude on October 2nd. To ensure these nine days of grand festivities unfold without a hitch, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has meticulously crafted an extensive action plan.
In preparation for the massive influx of pilgrims, TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary recently hosted a crucial coordination meeting. Held at Annamayya Bhavan, the gathering brought together Tirupati SP L. Subbarayudu, along with key vigilance and police officials, to finalize detailed arrangements for ensuring devotee safety, streamlined transportation, and effective crowd management.
During a press briefing, Mr. Chowdary highlighted the robust security measures being implemented. A formidable force of 4,200 police personnel, complemented by 1,500 TTD vigilance staff, will be deployed to ensure foolproof safety throughout the festival. Furthermore, a sophisticated Command Control System will be actively monitoring crowd movements in real-time, playing a vital role in alleviating congestion at critical junctures.
Addressing transportation, Mr. Chowdary announced that 435 APSRTC buses would be running daily to comfortably ferry the anticipated hundreds of thousands of devotees. In Tirupati, twenty-three dedicated parking areas have been designated to accommodate vehicles. Inside the temple town, the spacious galleries along the Mada streets are prepared to host up to two lakh pilgrims, all part of TTD’s commitment to providing a smooth and uninterrupted darshan experience.
Additionally, special protocols have been established for the entry and exit of dignitaries, including the Chief Minister, constitutional heads, and other VIPs. Recognising the digital age, dedicated teams will also be actively monitoring social media to swiftly address and debunk any misinformation or misleading campaigns.
Mr. Chowdary concluded by earnestly appealing to all devotees to take full advantage of the safe and complimentary public transportation services made available throughout the duration of this sacred festival.
