Race enthusiasts in Bengaluru were treated to a spectacle this Thursday morning (September 25th) as two prominent contenders, Echoes of Time and Mahler, put in highly impressive workout performances.
The horses were put through their paces on the Outer Sand track, with several promising results:
1000m Gallop: Adalard, guided by J. Chinoy, alongside Dynamic Force with S. Sachin in the saddle, clocked a comfortable 1 minute 15 seconds, with their final 600m in a brisk 45 seconds. Both horses demonstrated a smooth and effortless stride.
1200m Sprint: Echoes of Time, ridden by R. Pradeep, showcased excellent form. The horse completed the 1200m in 1 minute 26.5 seconds, with a sharp 1 minute 10 seconds for the 1000m and a powerful 41.5 seconds for the last 600m. This performance suggests the horse is in peak condition.
1400m Trial: Mahler, under the expert handling of P. Trevor, delivered an attractive display. Finishing the 1400m in 1 minute 40.5 seconds, with segments of 1 minute 25.5 for 1200m, 1 minute 11.5 for 1000m, and 42.5 for the final 600m, Mahler truly impressed with its powerful movement.
1600m Endurance: Tolkien, with jockey Akshay, demonstrated remarkable stamina and control. Completing the mile in 1 minute 59 seconds, with splits of 1 minute 44 for 1400m, 1 minute 29 for 1200m, 1 minute 15 for 1000m, and 46 for the last 600m, Tolkien moved with considerable reserves, indicating strong potential.
