The winter schedule at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport is now active, boasting a substantial 22% increase in weekly flight operations compared to the previous summer. This enhanced schedule officially commenced on October 26, 2025, and will continue to serve travelers until March 28, 2026.
Airport authorities have confirmed that the new schedule will facilitate 732 weekly Air Traffic Movements (ATMs), a notable rise from the 600 ATMs recorded during the 2025 summer period. This expansion highlights the airport’s growing importance as a hub for both domestic and international travel and its increasing popularity among airlines. Travelers can look forward to new flight connections to destinations like Navi Mumbai, Mangaluru, and Trichy. Additionally, there will be increased frequencies for existing routes to major cities such as Kannur, Kochi, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai.
Domestic services are set for an impressive 35% growth, with weekly ATMs soaring from 300 to 406. This surge is attributed to the increased flight frequencies connecting Thiruvananthapuram to vital metropolitan and regional centers. International operations will also see a healthy 9% increase, expanding from 300 to 326 weekly ATMs. Key international routes to Dammam, Riyadh, Kuwait, Kuala Lumpur, and Male are all slated for more frequent services under this new winter plan.
A statement from the airport emphasized, “This new winter schedule truly underscores Thiruvananthapuram International Airport’s evolving role as a crucial gateway to Kerala and beyond. By offering enhanced connectivity and introducing fresh routes, we are committed to fostering regional mobility and contributing to economic prosperity.”
