A distinguished committee, led by renowned filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan as its chairperson, alongside esteemed members George Onakkur and Soorya Krishnamoorthy, meticulously selected Gandhi for this prestigious honor. The play, celebrated for its compelling narrative and powerful performances, was expertly penned by Francis T. Mavelikkara and brought to life through the masterful direction of Meenambalam Santhosh.
