The Teresa Club, led by President Grandhi Vishnu Murthy and founder K.T. Kuriyakose, made a heartfelt appeal to medical professionals from various specialties on Sunday. They emphasized the critical need for doctors to volunteer their time, highlighting that many impoverished patients struggle to afford even basic consultation fees at hospitals.
In a significant step towards addressing this need, the Club collaborated with Mahendra Hospitals to organize a comprehensive medical camp at its premises in Vizianagaram. During the camp, a wide range of medical services were provided, and free medicines were distributed to all patients. Speaking at the event, Mr. Vishnu Murthy underscored that such service-oriented activities not only bring immense personal satisfaction but also inspire others to contribute their skills and resources for the betterment of society.
A special moment during the event was the felicitation of Narayanam Srinivas, the esteemed founder and trustee of the Ramanarayam temple. Accompanied by doctors and Club members, Mr. Vishnu Murthy extended gratitude, acknowledging the invaluable contributions of Mr. Srinivas’s family to the community.
