Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy proudly declared that his Congress government successfully filled Group-I posts, dismissing “cheap allegations” from opposition parties claiming jobs were sold for vast sums and legal obstacles were intentionally erected. He emphasized the administration’s unwavering focus on ensuring deserving, hardworking young individuals secured their positions.
During the distribution of appointment letters to the newly selected Group-I officers on Saturday, Mr. Reddy drew an analogy, stating, “Just as Arjuna saw only the eye of the fish, I saw only your future. Despite constant conspiracies and malicious propaganda, we stood unwavering for your aspirations.”
Engaging emotionally with the new officers, Mr. Reddy reminded them of the profound struggles and sacrifices that paved the way for Telangana’s statehood. He underscored that the vital responsibility of molding the state’s future and safeguarding its unique spirit and consciousness now lay firmly in their hands.
The Chief Minister then leveled accusations against the previous administration, alleging a deep betrayal of the fundamental principles and spirit of the Telangana statehood movement.
He strongly criticized the past government, stating, “For an entire decade, no Group-I examinations were held. The Public Service Commission was plagued by scandals, with question papers even surfacing in photocopy shops. Those entrusted with the crucial responsibility ultimately betrayed the youth of Telangana.”
Mr. Reddy paid tribute to the sacrifices made by individuals like Srikanthachary, Yadayya, and Ishan Reddy during the statehood movement, asserting that their legacy had been disrespected by the former government. He proudly announced, “Upon taking office, our government undertook a complete overhaul of the Public Service Commission, guaranteeing transparent examination processes,” a declaration met with enthusiastic applause.
He urged the new officers to serve the administration with utmost sincerity and honesty. Furthermore, he issued a stern warning: “Your parents have sacrificed immensely for your success; it is now your sacred duty to care for them. Should any officer neglect their parents, a 10% deduction from their salary will be implemented and directly deposited into their parents’ accounts.”
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka echoed the sentiment, expressing pride in the unprecedented scale of recruitment by the Public Service Commission, noting no similar instance in the last 40 years. He accused previous regimes of mocking unemployed youth and actively attempting to obstruct recruitments, highlighting that the Congress government, despite these challenges, successfully filled 60,000 posts.
