In a swift and decisive move following a shocking incident, Telangana’s Director General of Police, B. Shivdhar Reddy, has initiated a large-scale manhunt. The urgent operation aims to track down the suspect involved in the brutal murder of Constable E. Pramod, a dedicated officer serving with the Nizamabad Central Crime Station (CCS).
Constable Pramod, aged 42, tragically lost his life on the evening of October 17. Reports indicate he was fatally stabbed by an accused individual linked to ongoing cases of vehicle theft and chain-snatching.
DGP Reddy expressed profound grief over Constable Pramod’s untimely demise, commending him as a sincere and committed officer. Upon receiving intelligence that the primary suspect, identified as Sheikh Riyad, had absconded, the DGP immediately instructed Nizamabad Police Commissioner P. Sai Chaitanya to assemble specialized teams. Their mission is clear: to locate and apprehend the accused without delay.
Furthermore, IGP Chandrasekhar Reddy of Multi Zone-I has been directed to visit the crime scene and personally oversee the ongoing investigation. The DGP also emphasized the critical importance of providing unwavering support and assistance to Constable Pramod’s grieving family during this incredibly difficult period.
