Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy recently led a pivotal review meeting at the Integrated Command and Control Centre, focusing on the advancement of two groundbreaking initiatives: the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Hub and the highly anticipated T-Square (Technology Square) project.
Exciting news for the state’s tech landscape: the T-Square project, a visionary IT building spearheaded by the Telangana government, is set to break ground by the end of November. All necessary approvals are already in place, paving the way for its rapid development.
More than just a building, T-Square is designed to be a landmark innovation and technology hub in Hyderabad. It aims to foster collaboration by bringing together innovative startups, established global tech giants, cutting-edge research institutions, and various government innovation divisions under one dynamic roof.
The high-level meeting saw the participation of key figures, including IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, Special Chief Secretaries Jayesh Ranjan and Sanjay Kumar, OSD to CM Vemula Srinivasulu, TSIIC Managing Director Shashank, T-Fiber MD Venu Prasad, IT Department Deputy Secretary Bhavesh Mishra, and other esteemed senior officials.
During the discussions, Chief Minister Reddy emphasized the importance of attracting international industry leaders, such as Apple, to establish their presence within the complex. He also advocated for a dedicated utility zone and a 24-hour operational model for T-Square, ensuring it continually supports Telangana’s thriving technology sector and solidifies its status as a prominent symbol of innovation in the region.
Turning his attention to the proposed AI Hub, Mr. Reddy instructed officials to secure suitable temporary facilities at the Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI) until a permanent site is finalized.
Furthermore, he proposed the establishment of a dedicated corpus fund to bolster the AI Hub’s various activities and recommended forming an advisory board with representatives from leading global AI organizations to guide its strategic growth.
The T-Square project is a collaborative effort, meticulously overseen by the Information Technology and Industries Department, with crucial support from agencies like the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) and the IT & Communications Department. This initiative is central to Telangana’s broader ambition of positioning Hyderabad as a global epicenter for Artificial Intelligence, digital innovation, and entrepreneurial excellence.
