This week, a significant sum of approximately ₹188 crore was successfully disbursed to beneficiaries of 17,000 Indiramma Houses across Telangana. These payments are part of a phased release, with installments for home construction reaching beneficiaries every Monday. To date, the Telangana Housing Corporation has collectively transferred an impressive ₹1612.37 crore under the scheme, as announced by Managing Director V.P. Gautham on Wednesday, September 24.
Out of 2.12 lakh homes initiated across 12,000 villages and close to 4,000 municipal wards, financial aid has already reached nearly 1.5 lakh households. Each eligible beneficiary receives ₹5 lakh, distributed in four stages as their home construction progresses: after the completion of the basement, walls, slab, and the final construction.
Mr. Gautham strongly advised beneficiaries who have not yet received their payments to ensure their bank accounts are properly linked with their Aadhaar for seamless transactions.
To address any concerns or issues related to the housing scheme, the corporation recently introduced a dedicated toll-free number: 1800 599 5991. Additionally, a helpdesk has been established at its Hyderabad office, ready to assist beneficiaries with their grievances.
