In a series of impactful operations across Hyderabad, the Telangana Prohibition and Excise department’s State Task Force (STF) successfully intercepted two major illicit consignments. These coordinated efforts led to the significant seizure of illegal narcotics and liquor, culminating in one arrest as authorities continue their relentless pursuit of justice.
Acting on credible intelligence, an STF team raided a residence in Jungoor Basti, Dhoolpet, where they discovered and confiscated 1.133 kilograms of ganja. Aarti Bai was promptly arrested in connection with this drug bust, while authorities are now actively searching for a second individual, Shiva Singh, who is currently at large. The seized contraband has been transferred to the Dhoolpet excise station for detailed examination and further legal proceedings.
Separately, in Shamshabad, enforcement officials uncovered an illegal stash of 31 liquor bottles. These beverages, which were illicitly transported into Telangana from Delhi and Goa, were immediately confiscated. This raid is part of the department’s ongoing statewide crackdown aimed at curbing the unlawful possession and sale of alcohol.

Formal cases have been registered for both incidents, and comprehensive investigations are progressing. The authorities are committed to locating and apprehending all individuals implicated in these crimes, ensuring accountability and maintaining public safety.
