Hyderabad, October 27, 2025: In anticipation of heavy rainfall across Telangana, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy today issued strict instructions to state officials. He emphasized the critical need to implement robust precautions for the procurement of cotton, maize, and various other grains, ensuring that farmers are completely protected from any potential losses or disruptions due to the inclement weather.
To effectively coordinate these efforts, Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy are scheduled to host a crucial video conference this evening. The meeting will involve collectors and other key officials from districts across the state, focusing on immediate action plans.
The impending rains are a direct consequence of Cyclone Montha. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert, forecasting moderate to heavy rainfall for districts including Mahabubabad, Nalgonda, Suryapet, and Nagarkurnool. Light to moderate rain is also expected across the remaining 29 districts of Telangana.
