In a bold political statement, Mettu Sai Kumar, who leads the Telangana Fishermen Co-operative Societies Federation, delivered strong criticisms against BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) and T. Harish Rao. He confidently predicted a clear defeat for both leaders in the forthcoming elections.
During his address at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday, Sai Kumar asserted that KTR’s electoral fate was sealed, irrespective of the constituency he chose to contest. He dismissed the promises made by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) as mere empty rhetoric, stating that neither KTR nor Harish Rao commanded public trust any longer.
Sai Kumar conveyed his strong belief in the Congress party’s ability to dominate the upcoming polls, even forecasting their victory in 31 Zilla Parishad chairperson positions, alongside a win in the crucial Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election. He highlighted the public’s unwavering confidence in the leadership and administrative capabilities of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Concurrently, former Member of Parliament Ravinder Naik addressed tribal protestors gathered near Indira Park. He reassured the community that the Congress government is fully committed to implementing the 10% reservation for tribals across Telangana. Naik reiterated Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s dedication to fulfilling the ‘six guarantees’ and ensuring equitable justice for the tribal population.
