In a significant move to elevate educational standards, the Telangana School Education Department has instructed all District Educational Officers to establish dedicated inspection teams. These panels will conduct routine checks across all government and local body schools, including primary, upper primary, and high schools, throughout the state.
Each specialized team will be tasked with quarterly inspections, aiming to cover 100 primary and upper primary schools, alongside 50 high schools. Their mandate includes rigorously evaluating adherence to curriculum standards, overall educational quality, resource availability, and compliance with the department’s operational guidelines. All inspection findings will be promptly uploaded to the department’s central online portal, with weekly feedback sessions provided to District Educational Officers.
The structure of these inspecting panels is clearly defined: primary and upper primary school teams will consist of three members each, while high school teams will comprise nine members. A district-level committee, led by the District Collector, will be responsible for selecting and appointing eligible teachers to serve as these crucial inspecting officers. These officers will operate as full-time members of their respective inspection panels, with their tenure set for one academic year, ensuring consistent and dedicated oversight.
