The Telangana government initiated a series of transfers for several IAS officers on Friday, October 31, 2025. Among the key appointments, K. Ilambarithi, previously serving as Secretary for Metropolitan Area & Urban Development, has been named the new Transport Commissioner. This move relieves M. Raghunandan Rao from the additional responsibilities of this post. Furthermore, Mr. Ilambarithi will also hold the full additional charge as Secretary for the Animal Husbandry and Fisheries department.
In another significant change, E. Sridhar, a 2004-batch IAS officer and current Secretary of the BC Welfare department, has been assigned the full additional charge of Secretary, General Administration. This appointment follows the retirement of Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi, an IAS officer from the 1999 batch.
Anita Ramachandran, Secretary of the Women and Child Welfare Department, has also been given additional charge as Secretary and Commissioner for the Tribal Welfare Department. Additionally, Yasmeen Basha, who serves as the Director of Horticulture, will now also hold the full additional charge as Managing Director of TG OILFED.
Sabyasachi Ghosh, a senior officer from the 1994 batch and former Special Chief Secretary of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, has been reassigned as the Special Chief Secretary of the Implementation of Flagship Welfare & Development Schemes Unit. Coinciding with this, the government also announced the appointment of Bodhan MLA P. Sudershan Reddy as Advisor for the Implementation of Flagship Welfare & Development Schemes. This new unit will be responsible for regularly updating the State Cabinet on the progress of these initiatives.
Finally, B. Saidulu, an IFS officer from the 2005 batch and Secretary of the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Telangana Backward Classes Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society, has been given the full additional charge as Special Secretary for the Implementation of Flagship Welfare & Development Schemes Unit.
