Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is scheduled to make a notable appearance as the chief guest at a special event organized by the Tamil Nadu government in Chennai. This anticipated visit is set for Thursday, September 25, 2025.
The function, aptly named ‘Kalviyil Sirandha Tamil Nadu’ (Tamil Nadu Excelling in Education), will take place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium. Tamil Nadu government spokesperson P. Amudha confirmed the details in a press conference held on Monday, September 22.
Ms. Amudha elaborated that the event will spotlight the successful outcomes of seven crucial Tamil Nadu government initiatives. These include well-known programs such as Naan Mudhalvan, the Chief Minister’s Breakfast Scheme, Pudhumai Penn, and Tamil Pudhalvan.
The gathering will welcome young achievers who have directly benefited from these transformative programs, alongside key stakeholders and other distinguished participants, on Thursday evening.
A major highlight of the event will be the allocation of funds for the Pudhumai Penn and Tamil Pudhalvan programs for the 2025-26 fiscal year. This funding is poised to benefit approximately 2.57 lakh children across the state this year, according to the official statement.
Furthermore, the spokesperson emphasized the positive impact of the Naan Mudhalvan scheme, noting that the skills training provided under this program has significantly boosted the employability of around one lakh students annually.
She also added that an impressive 2,000 educational institutions have already registered on the dedicated portal for the Naan Mudhalvan program, demonstrating its widespread reach and acceptance.
